Below Mastery
With your student, draw triangles and quadrilaterals and discuss how to find their areas. Create a data set and discuss how to find the data’s mean and median and the differences between them.
At or Near Mastery
With your student, sketch nets made of rectangles and triangles to represent household objects and estimate their surface areas. Discuss statistical questions your student could ask classmates.
Above Mastery
With your student, draw irregular polygons on graph paper. Discuss how to decompose the polygon into triangles to find the area. Create data sets for your student to display using box plots.
