With your student, practice using the Pythagorean Theorem to find the third side of right triangles; look at scatter plots to identify whether the data have positive, negative, or no association.
At or Near Mastery
With your student, use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the height of isosceles and equilateral triangles; use lines of best fit to describe data and examine how it helps extrapolate information.
Above Mastery
With your student, use known shapes to estimate the volume of a plastic bottle; interpret the slope and intercept of the line of best fit for the graph of time spent studying and math grades.
